Research Scientist (UFZ, Germany)
03.08.2011

The Department of Conservation Biology (The Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research - UFZ) is offering a half-time position for a research scientis , within the EU-funded project Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services: Arguments for our future Environment.
The project with 16 European partners will investigate how much importance people attribute to alternative arguments for the protection of biodiversity and in particular how this relates to ecosystem services. It will focus on the arguments used by policy makers at different governance levels and in different ecological, socioeconomic, spatial and temporal contexts. The results will be used to produce a framework that will give guidance on the effectiveness of alternative arguments and protection strategies in various contexts.
